Saturday 9 - What Did You Think of 2009?

What did you think of 2009?

Welcome to Saturday: 9 . What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme!

9. What's the best thing you ever did on a New Year's Eve?
Last year we had a hoot watching Janet Davis's drunken a** on television....Can't wait to see this year. Is that sad? At least we amuse ourselves, right?
Here is a clip from her last year:

...

12/26 – 6 thing you are looking forward to in 2010

1. Being in a better place financially.
2. Hopefully a real job for Anastasia.

LOL on Janet Davies! And I'm with you on the blog pallies this year--that's been a joy.

OK, I admit it. I don't know who Janet Davies is. Guess I'm a nerd.

Will be home on New Year's, too. I don't know anyone who is going out. Is that because I hang out with a lot of old people? :-)

Okay, 2009? Yes, a hard year. Lots of losses. Yes, Obama was the big story. I don't want to hear another word about Michael Jackson OR Jon and Kate. No favorite songs, I accomplished the beginnings of a writing career. I learned that I actually have to get up and move about the cabin in order to lose any weight which I am looking forward to LOSING in the new year. We have no plans for New Year's and the best thing I ever did on New Year's Eve? Nothing. Sad, right?

Merry Christmas weekend to you and A.

@ Lin - Indeed!

@ JHS - Hope you come back and check out the video I added after your comment.

@ StaceyC4 - I can tell you one thing I wish I hadn't done on NYE.

@ Harriet - Yes, and she's been talking up her NYE gig!

@ Lin - Ok, I was trying to be kind and let's face it, that dress was not the most flattering one she could have picked.

OK, watched the video and now I get it! Pretty hilarious when she danced right out of camera range!

We have a local personality who used to do weather reports and I would watch her, thinking, "Man, she seems loaded." I met someone years later who worked at the station with her & confirmed that between the 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. news broadcasts she hung out in the bar of a local Mexican restaurant drinking margaritas. So by the 11 p.m. report, she was totally wiped out, as she seemed. She's not longer on the air . . . probably passed out somewhere. :-)

Have a fun New Year's!
