Hey! Ask Me A Question! Please?

It's baaack. Got a question?

I'll be taking your questions and answering them in this post.

Still taking more questions throughout the weekend.

Still time to get your questions in!

JD at I Do Things asks: I don't know if you're much of a TV watcher, but do you watch any reality shows? Love 'em? Hate 'em? Think they -- or TV in general -- are a waste of time? If you watch reality shows, are there some you consider to be a little more dignified than others? I'm not a fan of reality shows, I think they are a waste of time. I watch shows like Flash Forward (glad it was back last night!), Grey's Anatomy, Big Bang Theory, Medium. I do watch American Idol, but that's only because Ellen is on, and even that is getting old because it looks like she's just copying soundbites of what the other judges say. Nothing seems original or humorous.

Lin at Duck and Wheel With String asks: I'm going to go with one from one of my favorite movies "The Way We Were": "If we(you) had the chance to do it all again, tell me, would we(you)?" And you can apply that to anything. I can't say that I would have never dated men, because then I wouldn't have my 2 beautiful children, but I would definitely say I should have divorced earlier.

Linda Medrana at The Good, The Bad, The Worse asks: You had a date with a new person. Did that go well? Are you still seeing that person? You probably think you are entitled to a private life, but inquiring minds want to know! Well...I do think I am entitled to a private life and I said I wouldn't blog about my dates. But I guess I can say that we are seeing each other.

Linda Medrana at The Good, The Bad, The Worse asks: I am very glad to hear that and won't ask anything else in that vein! Do you have plans with the kids for spring break? No plans as yet, the exes haven't mentioned anything. Do you have any plans?

Stacey at All Stace, All The Time asks: I love when you do this! Okay, if a family member is mad at you and has let you know, without a doubt, that they are mad at you, shouldn't they be the one to call when they are no longer mad? I mean, calling them first could just lead to more fighting so isn't it better to wait until they are done with their snit? Even if they are the one mad, I usually still make the first call. In fact, I did just that yesterday. Life is too short to let grudges carry on. That's my thought anyway. And besides, I have very few friends outside of the blogosphere.

LJ at Musings By Mugwhump asks: Being new to you blog I may be asking something that has already gone on before. I beg your forgiveness. But my question is "If Lola is a pen name - why did you chose it? However, IF Lola is your real name is there a story behind it? Very few people know the origins. If I told everyone, it wouldn't be a mystery would it? Oh, all right, I give. I'll give you part of it. Remember Ellen Degeneres' short-lived sitcom? It's from that. Let's see if anyone who isn't already "in the know", can figure it out. Buuwhahahahahah!

Mama ASID'S Entrepod asked: I want to ask what are the best recipes you prepared from last years' harvest of Lola's Victory Garden ? The only thing that came from my garden was a 2 quarts and a pint of tomato sauce and I don't have the recipe. I got it from yahoo's Canning2 group. I also canned up Pickled Asparagus and Dilly Green Beans and I think you can find those recipes on my other site. I also attempted to can Hot and Sweet Green Tomatoes, but I used that stuff that is supposed to make canned items crisp (I can't recall the product). Anyway, it has an aftertaste, so perhaps I used too much. If I try it again, I will greatly reduce the amount I use.

Cute As A Buggy asked: Here's my question: Do you have a hard time keeping up with three blogs, two teenagers and now dating? Ahh, yeah! Anyone notice I haven't posted every day on Lola's Diner, like I usually do? And I've pretty much got writers block for my other 2 blogs. (My mind is on other things.)

I am Harriet asks: It 50 sunny right now while rest of state in the 30's with snow and ice should I feel guilty? Hell yes! It's been snowing here this morning and it's dreary and wet out.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I had a nice afternoon lunch with my date. Corned Beef & Cabbage.

Everyone at our house wore green, because it's just what we do. We'll be having our Corned Beef & Cabbage another night for dinner with Irish Soda Bread.

What do you do to celebrate St. Paddy's Day?

Relationship signs...

I was online this morning and saw this on Yahoo: 6 Signs You're In A Healthy Relationship - Yahoo and it got me to thinking. Especially in my current situation.

So what relationship traits or signs are important to you? Some others that aren't on the list?

What have you done when a friend or partner is lacking in those traits or signs? Or what do you do when your friend or partner (spouse, boyfriend or girlfriend, or significant other) relationship changes or evolves and some of those traits or signs are missing?

How do you handle it when your friend or partner crosses the line? Or crosses a boundary?

The Something Meme

Name something you do every day
Shower.

Name something someone else calls you
Mom.

Name something that irritates the heck out of you online.
Entrecard. Nuf said.

Name something that bugs the stuff out of you at a restaurant.
Screaming kids.

Name something you cannot tolerate at a store.
Non-existent customer service.

Name something you’d like to call your co-worker.
Nothing. I don't work.

Name something that you hate about someone close to you.
Refusing to go out and play when the weather is mild out.

Name something you don’t like about your sibling.
Visiting. She doesn't get that just making it into Illinois is not enough. I should not have to drive an hour to meet her. (No, I'm not being unreasonable, for years I drove out on an almost monthly basis, directly to her.)

Name something you like about yourself.
I'm doing pretty ok.

Name something you would rather be doing right now.
Resting on the beach with an umbrella drink and...

Name something that you’ll be doing next week at this time.
Same stuff I’m doing right now no doubt.

Sunday Stealing

1. What were doing 10 years ago? 10 years ago was about the time I "came out".

2. Five snacks that you enjoy in a perfect, non weight-gaining world. Popcorn, ice cream, pistachio nuts, chips & salsa, kettle chips.

3. Five things you would do if you were a billionaire: Donate to food banks, take a gay cruise (hopefully with someone special), take a family vacation, open a real diner, not worry about expenses.

4. Three of your habits: insomnia (is that a habit?), blogging, jumping to conclusions.

5. Five jobs that you've have had: Gas station attendant, Woolworth cashier, bookkeeper for a small accounting firm, accounting assistant for an insurance company, accountant for a local government.

6. Five places that you've lived: A suburb of Milwaukee, Chicago - Boystown, Chicago - west of Wrigley Field, Chicago - Devon & Western, Chicago - West of Andersonville (not my current location.)

7. Five things that you did yesterday: Showered, got dressed up (which for me is a nice blouse and slacks), went out to dinner, watched Grey Gardens (2009), had another awesome evening.

8. Five people you would want to get to know more about: I have no idea.

9. Abortion: for or against it? I think abortion is a personal decision for each individual and not something that is appropriate discussion for my blog.

10. Do you think the world would fail with a female president? Nope! I think a heck of a lot more would get done!

11. Do you believe in the death penalty? Not something that is appropriate discussion for my blog.

12. Do you wish marijuana would be legalized already? Yes.

13. Are you for or against premarital sex? I'm a lesbian. It's the only kind we have. Lol!

14. Do you think same sex marriage should be legalized? Yes. Gays and lesbians should have the same benefits of marriage that heterosexual couples have. When we make a commitment to each other, it should have the same legal benefits as a committed heterosexual couple.

15. Do you think it's wrong that so many Hispanics are illegally moving to the USA? Not something that is appropriate discussion for my blog.

16. Should the alcohol age be lowered to eighteen? Perhaps it would lessen binge drinking by underage teens, but I think it should be combined with a graduated drivers license.

17. Should the war in Iraq be called off? Duh!

18. Assisted suicide is illegal: do you agree? Not something that is appropriate discussion for my blog.

19. Do you believe in spanking your children? No.

20. Do you worry that others will judge you from reading some of your answers? No, because I refuse to address certain issues on my blog. It is my blog and I just don't feel it is appropriate.

Thank you for playing this week on Sunday Stealing! Please leave a comment or link when you have posted. Feel free to stop back and visit other player’s posts. Have a great week. See you next Sunday!
