It's Spring Break here. (Do you feel my pain?) I did manage to get both kids to clean their rooms. Woo Hoo! And my son even organized his room. He made what he calls his "sports shrine" where he has all his sports stuff on display. It's a bit busy, but still, to have it all in 1 place organized is awesome. My daughter cleaned, but has yet to organize. That is something that I will likely have to do, or help her do. It's not something that she's good at, and she needs help. Anyway, it's still awesome! Their reward was supposed to be going to the driving range, but when we got there we discovered that it was very windy out in that big open space called a golf course and the wind would have been directly in our faces on the driving range. Not a good thing. I offered bowling as a substitute, but they picked going to our local Tastee Freeze type joint to get an ice cream treat. So that's what we did. They got their ice cream treat and ate it while I picked up a few things at the store. I took a pass on the treat, because I'm trying to watch what I eat...somewhat. I wouldn't call it dieting, (because I hate that word) I would just call it, eating better and eating smaller portions. I've lost enough to notice it in my clothes. Specifically my pants. A belt is now required for every pair of pants I own (even the new ones I bought last month). This is a good thing, even though I don't like wearing a belt, because it can jack up my back pain, because of where the belt rests.
We had an awesome time on the first day of Spring Break on Friday. We went to Choo Choo Johnnies for lunch and then to Haunted Trails for games, laser tag, go-carts and miniature golf. An awesome time was had by all.
And to those who commented on my Blago post, I didn't expect for him to make it as far as he did. I pretty much expected him out the first time the men lost. The guy has no skills, other than those that apparently got him in hot water with our state.
My Spring Break pain allegedly will end early, on Thursday. Their dad is supposed to come get them. (We split the Spring Break and Winter Break.) I'm sad about not going to the golf range today, but perhaps if the weather holds out late tomorrow we can go.
Both Irish and Maddux are thoroughly enjoying the little mini tent. While Irish loves to just lay in it and chill and sometimes sleep, Maddux loves to run at it, go inside, roll it over while he's inside and then run out and circle the room. It's a hoot and a half!
Are your kids on break this week? What are you up to?

Blagojevich fired again...
I watched Celebrity Apprentice last night. Not because I really enjoy the show, because what I normally watch wasn't on.
I just want to know how on earth Blagojevich got to manage our state? He seems to have no skills other than how to wheel and deal. And even then...he did that badly enough to get caught.
How he could throw the Chef and that other guy under the bus, when it was his lack of technology knowledge and poor management skills that ultimately lost this round I'll never know.
Did you watch? What did you think?
