Weekend Movie - The Blind Side

I finally got to see The Blind Side this weekend with our daughter. She had been begging to go to the movies for weeks and that was one movie that always came up on her must see list.

I have to say that I really enjoyed the movie. Last night Sandra Bullock won a Golden Globe for her role in the movie and it really was deserved. If you haven't seen the movie yet, it's a real 'feel good' movie and to know that it's based on a true story is very uplifting.

For anyone to take in a child off the streets is unusual. But for a well to do Caucasian woman to take in an young African American child she finds walking down a rainy street one night, bring him into her family and treat him as if he were always a member of her family is amazing.

It's uplifting and inspirational and I definitely recommend it.

  2. I've heard it is really good, but I think I'm gonna wait until it is on video. I'm hooked on Red Box now!! We are actually watching movies again.

  3. @ StaceyC4 - My daughter has been wanting to go for weeks and it was one of the Five Buck Club movies, so a movie for $5, not bad.

@ Lin - I usually say that about most movies, wait til it's out on video, but it's been on our theater's Five Buck Club for weeks, so I figured why not?

  4. Lola, we saw it too, my hairdresser
looks and acts like this woman in Blind Side-I love her, a real take-charge woman. We saw "Up in the Air" yesterday, opening credits were amazing-hope you can see it. I thought Clooney should have won after seeing this, even though I am not a Clooney stalker like some people.
