If you missed the heartfelt apology and feel the need to see it...click here to view it.
Dear Tiger Woods:What about you, loyal and faithful readers? Do you care? Do you think a public apology was appropriate and necessary?
I don't know why you and your "handlers" saw fit to interrupt my morning television schedule. While what you did was reprehensible, yet it is not my business.
How long did you rehearse that sincere apology? Was it your idea to speak in such a flat monotone? Or was it your handlers? Was that supposed to instill in me sympathy? It didn't. I don't feel bad that you felt you were entitled to special treatment. I don't feel bad that you felt it was ok to forsake your marriage vows because you thought you were above such things. Nor do I feel sorry that you've ruined your family life.
What you did was a private matter. No wait...apparently there were a lot of women involved, so perhaps we should call it a semi-private matter.
I never slept with you. Why should I care?
Cordially,
Lola

He is a sleaze bag, and this just makes him look even more shallow. He is only apologizing to save his ass for a PR stunt,if he wasn't caught he wouldn't be talking, and what about all of the women who knew he was married and screwed him anyway? sleazy bags too! creeps!
ReplyDeleteI saw it on the net ... canned and rehearsed, for sure.
ReplyDeleteI think it is the public that made it such a big deal in the first place. If the US population would quit eating this kind of crap up then the media would have to quit broadcasting it 24/7 and tell us some important stuff. I agreee it is his business but the media just wouldn't leave it alone. I just wish everyone would now let him get on with his life without everyone sticking their noses in it. Totally no one else business.
ReplyDeleteNot in the least. I haven't even watched it. Amazing that I've been able to avoid it!
ReplyDeleteI have to admit, I am rarely nosy, but in this case, I totally want to know what's happening. While I agree that it is between him and his wife, they made it public when he got into his car accident. He also made it public by having such extraordinarily poor taste in women (as shown by the race to the microphone).
ReplyDeleteLola, I'm sorry Tiger's apology interrupted the morning schedule, but I hope this will be the end of it. His apology was thorough (I thought)and I hope that's the end of it and we can now leave his private life alone and get back to more important news.
ReplyDeleteChildren are missing, people are flying planes in to buildings and THIS gets uninterrupted coverage?? We are a sad, sad society. There was no need to air that. I don't care who he slept with - it's none of our business.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't watching TV when it was aired. Probably on my computer Posting, loading photos and surfing, lol.
ReplyDeleteOh I guess he wants back in sports and this was part of his penitence....I really do not care, however there are a lot of young sports fan who should learn from this... We bloggers will find you out and rat on you. Aren't bloggers great? Oh the Power we have!
I didn't see his apology although have seen a few clips of it. The thing is the media and the public have made what should have been a private matter public. They were the ones who put Tiger up on a pedestal not Tiger, they were ticked when Tiger by his own doing fell of that pedestal and they still don't get that this was and should have stayed a private matter between Tiger and his wife. He's not the first to cheat on his wife and he won't be the last but the publicity has practically guaranteed there will be no hope of salvaging that marriage. I don't think a public apology was appropriate or necessary.
ReplyDeletejust another day up here in the great white north..:)
