Do ya ever...I swear Andy Rooney has not hijacked my blog. If he did, maybe I'd have more people visiting and commenting.
Have you ever looked at your older posts and wondered things? As I've looked through my early posts I've noticed my writing style seems to have changed. I don't seem to be as witty as I thought I used to be. It makes me think my posts of late suuuuuuckkkk!
Where's the comment love? It's comment love month. I even started putting that cute pink post-it note at the bottom of my posts.
Is it maybe because I feel more depressed lately and a lot of my posts seem to be complaints, rants? Maybe because I don't have a 'social life' I've started using my blog differently?
Have I lost my mojo? Did I ever have any mojo? If I lost my mojo, how do I find it again?
Have you noticed the difference? Have you ever looked at your old posts? How do you feel about your older posts?

I think my mojo ran away. Sigh!
ReplyDeleteI was a better writer in the beginning. Now I just try to be funny.
ReplyDeleteI have looked over old posts but not in a while. I will say I have gotten better. And there's time when I want to blog about something and wondered did I already blog about that. So I just blog it anyway and hope that no one is really keeping up that they say "You already Blogged about that".
ReplyDeleteI only look over old posts if I'm trying to link to something in a post I'm writing. Most of the time, I completely forget what I wrote the day before.
ReplyDeleteI know I've evolved...
ReplyDeleteSometime things change and are reflected in our post. I try to find new things to brighten up my day. Then post all about it. I notice when folks return comments it gets better. Comments help the directions to go. But then again you can't please everyone, lol.
ReplyDeleteMy blog over the last 3 years definitely reflects/reflected my life situation, which sucks! LOL
ReplyDeleteI just reposted one I wrote 3 years ago about a blankie story, and was excited to see many comments on the blogger dashboard waiting this morning! readers are probably relieved it wasn't another whining, rant!
Yes, I look back. Once in a while I try to look at the blog like a stranger might and see what I am putting out there. Who am I?? Who do I appear to be?
ReplyDeleteI look back once in a while and I think I've stayed somewhat the same. Although lately, I'm a bit more whiney because life sucks so much. Oh,to be witty and light again!
ReplyDelete@ Storm - I think mine ran with it!
ReplyDelete@ Suzy - Maybe that's a good thing, because you are funny.
@ Angela - I'm sure no one would say "you've blogged about that already".
@ Patricia - I'm sure that's not completely true.
@ Harriet - I have devolved. Lol!
@ Auntie E - Yes, feedback, responses are good.
@ Stephany - I don't feel that way. Sometimes I do get really concerned about you though, because I know how hard it can be. Well not really, I don't know how much harder it is for you. Sometimes I feel like all I do is rant too.
@ Kelly - Who are you? Lol!
@ Stacey - Maybe, but you're a real writer so when you write about sucky stuff, it's so much better. :D
Well, I have not been blogging for very long so my older posts aren't that old yet. But, I like comments too :) They make me feel like I'm not talking to myself all the time...lol
ReplyDeletekeep on smilin lola! your blog is both witty and captivating...
