Random Tuesday Thoughts

I'm sure many of you heard my scream of frustration when I picked up my son yesterday and he told me that his "friend" refused to go to the nurse's office to pick up the elevator key and my son had to WALK up the stairs with his crutches. WTF? My son could fall and break his neck! You can bet when I drop him off at school in the morning I will talk to the nurse and tell her in no uncertain terms that she MUST find someone to accompany him to his 2nd floor class and get the elevator key. (If you missed my earlier post, my son is on crutches because he tore a ligament in gym.) And...he's home again today. Grrrr!

And I'm sure you all heard my scream of frustration when I called the orthopedic doctor and was told that I should have called them the day after the accident, instead of waiting like the ER said to. They still were able to get him in tomorrow, but it wasn't easy.

I ran around so much yesterday that I never did have a chance to call the orthopedic doctor. I felt like I spent the day in the car.

About 2 weeks ago I fit into the only pair of Levi's I own. They were actually a bit loose. Today I bought a brand new pair of Levis (and can I say the quality has gone seriously downhill from my circa 1980'ish Levi's?) a size smaller. I figured I'd be putting them on the shelf as my next goal. (I've been doing this all along. Buying 1-2 pairs of pants a size smaller than what currently fits. Then when that smaller size fits, I rinse and repeat.) I tried them on when I got home and they fit!!!! (Can you see me doing the happy dance?)

  1. Good for you! Keep going! I'm jealous, actually. I did buy a couple of pairs of jeans for our Thanksgiving trip in a size 10 and that made me happy but I know if I had stayed on the damn diet, I could have been down to a loose-fitting 8. Keep up the good work!

  2. Hooray! What a great feeling to be losing all that weight! Good for you, pally. :)

Hope your son is getting around better. Those darn crutches hurt your arms!
