I'm doing more and more shopping online lately. Due to my back issues, my trips out and about are very limited. I've been looking for kids beds since my son somehow managed to break the garage sale hand me down (probably older than I am) he has been using since he was a toddler. His mattress is currently on the floor, awaiting a new bed.
In looking for a kids beds for him, I'm looking for something well built, yet that doesn't break my bank balance, especially since I had to replace my daughter's bed not too long ago. Some of you may recall the sleepover from hell we had a couple of years ago. My daughter's bed was a garage sale hand me down as well and did not take kindly to 6 teenage girls jumping on the bed listening to the Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers. (I would have caved too, listening to them all night long!) The pièce de résistance of that evening though was not what happened to the bed. It was when one of the girls decided that hanging another girl's unmentionables on the ceiling fan was a good idea and said victim locked herself in the bathroom until I was able to coax her out. Kids...good times!

Hi. It's my first time here in your blog. Thanks for dropping by mine and nice to meet you..
ReplyDeletelol....girls just wanna have fun!
ReplyDelete@ Peachkins - You're welcome. Thank you for stopping by.
ReplyDelete@ John - Yes they do don't they? Lol!
I am not looking forward to the teen years with girls. I already have them jumping on the bed throwing stuff at the ceiling fan when their friends are over on a Saturday afternoon and they're just 9 and 7.
ReplyDeleteA good bed is sooo important. The hospital bed I slept on was like an air-bed -- all wavy and puffy. No support.
ReplyDeleteSo is this hanging of unmentionables on fans what kids are doing these days? I'm really out of it.
@ Cardiogirl - At least at that age, they can't do any real damage to the bed, but you may end up needing a new ceiling fan. Lol!
ReplyDelete@ JD - Sorry to hear about the bad bed at the hospital. Apparently it's the "in" thing to do and apparently it is mortifying. Who knew?
I hate sleepovers!
ReplyDelete@ Lin - I think I've officially banned them, unless it is only 1 girl. More than 2 girls is trouble!
ReplyDeleteI remember going to sleepovers like that! Kids are horrible. But as a mom of only boys, I get to deal with things like farting contests! I WISH someone would lock themselves someplace - preferably outside of my house!
