No school tomorrow either

HELP!

I just got an automated message from my son's school. No school again tomorrow. He already has off on Monday for Martin Luther King Day and Tuesday for teacher's institute day.

That means he will be off 6 days!

I think when Anastasia goes to her Mom's house later I'm going to have her stop at the liquor store and stock up.

No word yet on my daughter's school. (She doesn't have off Monday or Tuesday.)

ps. I'm only partially kidding about the liquor store.

No, don't joke. Sounds like you've earned those bottles.

Luckily my kids haven't had any closings due to weather, though they probably should, it's so cold! But, if they did, I'd go crazy, mine were sick before winter break and sick the whole week after winter break, I couldn't take any more days with them home. I love them dearly, but I need my days to regain my sanity!!!

Sounds like it's going to be a long winter. It's cold here to -10 with wind chills but my kids still had school.

I feel your pain! Ugh, how am I supposed to get anything done? Oh, that's right I was going to be stuck here at home with the baby anyway! LOL! DH says not to go out, windchill, blah, blah, blah! Looks like another jammie day for me! Have a great one!

My Little Princess is off school Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday next week - MLK for Monday, then Teacher Inservice Tues/Wed... Her school wasn't closed due to temps today (at least we're above zero! *grin!*) but hubby came home from work early, thereby eliminating my 'Me' time while Princess Nagger is in school...wonder if I can ship him off somewhere? (evil grin!!) Maybe I'll send him to the liquor store for me...what shall I have him pick up for you? ;)

Susan Helen Gottfried,
Oh you have no idea!

Jess,
I feel your pain!

Jane Doe,
Having them home that many days is one thing, but to have them home and sick, that had to have been pure hell. I'm so sorry. Hope they're all better.

Sue,
If they're closing school just for this, it's going to be a really long winter. I remember as a kid waiting for a bus that never came when the wind chill was 42 degrees below zero. This is nothing!

Jo,
I didn't go out yesterday at all, so today I had to go out and get the car running. What really sucks is our library is closed on Fridays, so I can't even take them to the library, grrrr! It did not want to start, but finally did. We all piled in the car and drove to the homeless shelter to drop off bags of clothing. The trip was long enough to get the car nice and hot and we did something good.

I Am Harriet,
You are so lucky. If I hear one more video game's monotonous repetition I'm going to go bonkers! They won't play in the basement because they say it's too cold, so they have PS2 hooked up in the living room. Helllppp!

Liza,
No problem, you deserve it!

Irel,
At least mine are old enough that I don't have to wait with them at the bus stop.

Stacy,
I haven't had any "ME" time in weeks. I'm ready to explode. If you're sending him to the liquor store, I'd vote for margaritas, at least then we can think warm thoughts too! LOL!

Arrrgh! I'm with you with the liquor store! My whole family is off and I was counting on these days to recover from hernia surgery! Forget that! I'm taking care of them instead of them taking care of me. I'm sending them somewhere tonight and I don't care where!!!! C'mon spring!!!

We've had some terrible weather where I live too. My little one didn't have school on Friday due to the cold temperatures. I wish that it would just stop snowing. I heard the temps are suppose to get bad again. Is summer here yet? LOL!! Thanks for sharing and stay warm.
