My kitty Sophie was on kitty krack yesterday. She has a knack for finding my daughter’s pony tail bands, which is funny, because my daughter never wears them and couldn’t even tell you where they are. Anyway, Sophie finds them in her room, then brings them downstairs to the living room and does a kind of kitty Cirque du Soleil. Yesterday she entertained me through the entire Oprah show. After the kids came home from school Sophie decided to come out of her nap space behind the end table. Not too unusual, however, instead of going her normal route behind the leather sofa, she decided to jump over the table, nearly knocking the lamp over, didn’t quite make it and slid back down behind the end table. Too bad I didn’t have the video camera handy, it was a hoot.
So what do you think of Drew Peterson’s stepbrother in the news today? Peterson's Stepbrother finally Tells His Story. Anastasia and I were talking last night when they kind of teased the Sun Times headline on the news. We came up with a new theory. What if Drew had his stepbrother, Thomas Morphey kill Stacy and they came up with this blue barrel story as a cover and that allowed Morphey to go to the FBI and get immunity? Morphey was given immunity shortly after Stacy’s disappearance. In any case, it’s very sad to take advantage of someone with the problems that Morphey had. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. Anyone have any thoughts on when charges will be filed? I’m guessing it’s going to be near the 2 year anniversary of Stacy’s disappearance.
Yesterday drummer boy (aka Metalica-head) was at it at 9am. Yup, 9am. Anastasia was furious because she went to bed rather late. We had all the windows and doors closed and we could still hear the drums as though they were be played in our living room. So far the dog has not been off leash. So far...
Can I say the rain here needs to stop and take a vacation somewhere else? I swear I am going to have a nervous breakdown if the rain doesn’t stop. Our sump pump is groaning. I don’t know how much longer it can take all this water. I awoke in the middle of the night to hear the rain coming down in torrents. I couldn’t get back to sleep because all I kept thinking about is all the laundry in the basement and our new freezer down there. No more rain, please.
When did Good Morning America get so loosey goosey? They’re all goofy and almost too familiar with each other. I find it annoying.

Unfortunately, my dog is not as lively as your cat. Second that on the abundance of rain. Don't know about Drew--think he's gotten more than his allotted 15 minutes for sure. Also, I watch Today not GMA--sorry! You really cover everything!
Loved the Cat segment. Had cats in past and enjoy watching them. Had one cat that loved to play hide and seek with our Irish Setter. That was amusing to watch. No rain here, at my location. About Drew-glad that girl friend dumped him. I tend not to watch news in the morning. Makes my day start out wrong. Hope I covered all. :-)
Sounds like you are as stir crazy as Sophie! Don't you love how self-entertaining cats are? Hobbes likes his sparkle ball and the milk ring. He's all good until one of the two (or both) end up under the fridge...
Oh, I hate drummer neighbors. We've had them before and you just wish them death on a daily basis! Is it in his garage? That's where they are typically drumming because their family can't stand it either!
I'm done with the rain too. My frogs are happy though. That's not usually a good sign.
@ Patricia-I think his stepbrother is trying to get his own 15 minutes of fame.
@ Auntie E-You're so lucky not to have the rain. It's still raining here.
@ Lin-Sophie likes the milk ring too, but looses it under the fridge or the trash can. It seems she knows where the stash of pony tail bands is because every time we take away the one she's playing with, the next day there is a different colored one in the living room. We think drummer boy plays in his garage, kind of hard to tell because the house is set back from the road and there are trees in front by the driveway. One would think that the trees would muffle the sound. That and the fact that all our doors and windows are closed tight. Their family HAS to hear it. It's like it's in our living room! And they live across the street from us. So we have our front yard, the road, their front yard and driveway separating us from drummer boy. I'm sure the sound has to be ear bleedingly loud at their house. lol!
i'm not a big fan of cats but i find your pet amusing. hahaha!
have a happy week, lola!
LOLA!!!!!!!!!!!
I had no idea you nominated me at Blognet Awards... I am blown away, and feel completely unworthy, but thank you - NOT for me, but for all the worthy charities I've highlighted on my blog, hopefully we'll get some good press!! And also for the simple 'random acts of kindness' that bring joy to the people around me, and even more so to me!! I am so thankful for people like you who believe in me... you make every step in this journey easier!!
HUGS!!

I can identify with the cat bits and the rain!! I have a cat with some strange habits..nice but strange..but that's why we love him!!
The rain...well, here in UK we "do" rain..almost everyday...even in summer, lol! So I sympathise on how it starts to get to you, especially when it's things being to flood.
We are getting rain today for the first time in a month! Good to see it!
Cats crack me up just watching them and their antics. I have a wild one that takes care of the moles around here and she plays with them as if they are yarn.
I find that on all the morning shows lately the hosts act much more familiar with each other and sillier than ever before. I don't know if it bothers me though. Sometimes its fun.
