L Television

All My Children (AMC) – Bianca needs to get over herself. So what that Reese kissed a guy and she liked it! It doesn’t appear that she did anything about it, other than kiss. (I was wacked out on cold meds last week and missed AMC all week, so if I’m wrong on this, please clue me in.) Zack was just talking to Bianca about it and said all they did is kiss, they didn’t have sex. (Not sure if that’s to be believed.)

Bianca is going to throw her marriage to Reese away because of 1 kiss? I just don’t get it. Not that I think what Reese did was right, I just think that Bianca is blowing it all out of proportion, but then again, that’s what she does. Bianca regrets having Zack be the father. Blah, blah, blah.

Was anyone else expecting this train wreck of a lesbian marriage? Why did AMC bother? And was it really necessary to immediately get the divorce papers and have Reese assert her parental rights and have Bianca go all biological mother on her?

And one more question, why does Kendall not care so much about the kiss? It's as if Kendall doesn't think it's anything to worry about at all. She could care less.

Sorry, I no longer consider AMC’s handling of lesbians and gay marriage cutting edge. I think this whole story line is a waste. And the rest of the story lines aren’t any better. Zack taking the rap for Kendall killing Greenlee?

Gray’s Anatomy – Callie going all “I am so a dyke” on Arizona totally rocked. While Callie seems to be playing a bi-sexual character (or maybe gay, it IS whatever the writers seem to decide at any given moment) I can definitely relate to her problems as a woman previously married to a man. It’s really hard to be taken seriously in the gay community, you tend to run into a lot of women who don’t want to break in the newbie or don’t want to be your "experiment". I get that totally. But Callie’s little speech at the bar was a bit over the top. Bringing up the Peace Corp and knowing how to cook? That was a bit much.

I’m sure I was not alone when Faye Dunaway’s “Dinosaur” went all Joan Crawford on Christina. Anastasia and I both said “No wire hangers” at the same time. It was funny.

L Word - I'm not caught up. I still haven't seen this week's episode.

I am with you on AMC. I really thought they were going to take the storyline somewhere productive. Why did they bother? I am very po'd they killed off Greenlee.

It's weird, I had a dream about AMC last night, though I haven't watched it in years and years. Then, here you are blogging about it. Curious.

I haven't watched AMC since our last VCR went bye-bye. They killed Greenlee? Sometimes the writers just don't get it.

Interesting. I don't watch any of these shows, but I've read a lot about how poorly gay and lesbian relationships are covered in many popular shows.

I used to watch AMC. I watched from age 12 to around age 24. I was out of the country for 2 years, came home, and picked it right back up again. That was 20 years ago, and you can bet they weren't showing gay or lesbian couples, even back then!

I don't know if this helps, but Bianca told Reese before the kiss happened that her first real girlfriend left her for a man. I think that's why she freaked out.

As for the immediate divorce, Eden is leaving the show for awhile and coming back later. I guess that's why tptb did it, so Binks would have a reason to leave and Reese would have a reason to stay on the show without her.

I'm still mad Josh & Greenlee had to be sacrificed for a newcomer. Yeah, she's Carly Corinthos #2 and was on Days as well, and Rebecca was ready to leave the show again, but still. Couldn't they have just kept Josh on the run and rehired Sabine or whatever her name was?

Plus, I don't like that Bianca & Kendall are fighting again. I feel like we're returning to their whole ink on the bridesmaid dress, Buffy days.

I missed a couple of days this week. Did they actually find Greenlee's body or is she just presumed dead for the moment? Everyone is saying she's dead, but it's a soap. No one ever really dies on a soap.

@ Staci-I only caught the beginning part of Friday's show. Because I've been sick, I've been sleeping very late, so I'm just as in the dark as you are. I don't understand why they had to kill off Josh either. And whoa, did they kill him off for good or what?

I just remembered that I never checked back to find out if you knew if they found Greenlee's body. Darn. I was hoping you did. Guess I'll have to do things the hard way and search the internet.

It's a soap. Josh will probably be back one day, as will Greenlee. They'll just say David switched the bodies and Kendall got someone else's heart. Or, he went all Dr. Evil, and gave Josh Kendall's damaged heart and Kendall Josh's good one. Who knows.

AMC-They mentioned Greenlee last week that she went over a cliff. Still no mention if they actually had a body. (Nice of them to be so vague.) The cat's out of the bag about Kendall being the perp. Someone overheard Zack & Kendall talking at the Go Red ball, but they claimed they would keep the secret. When has anyone on a soap opera ever kept a secret?
