SuperBowl banned GoDaddy.com Commercial

Apparently the SuperBowl banned this GoDaddy.com commercial because of Lola. Umm, no, not this Lola. This Lola:



Sorry, but I don't find what exactly is objectionable about this ad. I certainly find it less objectionable than the Tim Tebow ad.

Random Tuesday Thoughts

Sunday night Anastasia and I were up late talking, reminiscing about our childhoods, things we remembered about our parents. I told her about every Sunday how we stopped at Sentry Foods after church and got hot ham and rolls for lunch. Then when we got home my Dad would do one of three things.

1. Turn on wgn to watch The Lone Ranger and The Cisco Kid. I remember those incessant commercials for Bert Weinman Ford. They used to drive me crazy. Didn't wgn ever have any other commercials?

2. Turn on the stereo and listen to the polka shows. (Why, I have no idea. I never in my life saw my parents dance the polka.)
3. Put on the Dominique record by The Singing Nun aka Sister Luc-Gabriele aka Jeanine Deckers. My Dad would play that over and over. A fun fact that my Dad never knew was that Ms. Deckers left her order to pursue her singing career and "embrace her lesbian sexuality".

Who knows, maybe my Dad had a thing for Debbie Reynolds who sang an English version of Dominique in The Singing Nun (1966)?

Our daughter had a 6 game bowling match on Saturday. She normally bowls in the 60-80 range. Her last game of the match she bowled a 108. Woo hoo!

Ok, I'm tired of the snow already and it's freakin' cold out there. Our daughter is home sick today. Oh joy! Anastasia is going to the dome driving range and invited me to join her and her sister, but I'm going to have to take a pass because I've got to stay home with the sick one. Oh well, I would have been just a spectator anyway, but at least I would have gotten out of the house.

Football play by play announcers. Really any sports play by play announcers.

5. When was the last time you kissed someone?
Kissed Irish before dinner, she's been very needy and high maintenance lately. Thank goodness she finally fell asleep on Anastasia's chair.

6. What 'starlet' has had too much plastic surgery?
That tard who has had more than her fair share of 15 minutes of fame. Heidi Montag aka the plastic surgery whore. I mean, you know she's a plastic surgery whore when Joan Rivers is jealous at the deal she got on 10 surgeries in 1 day.

7. What ingredients would you use to make a home made pizza?
Mozzarella cheese, sauce, garlic, fresh basil leaves, artichoke hearts, and stuff to make the crust.

8. Who won the World Series last year?
Who cares?...NOT the Cubs....ggrrrrrr. It's football season anyway.

9. What is your weather like?
Icky.
