"I gotta (sic) pick myself up and I have to tell myself that I'm a superstar every morning so that I can get through this day and be for my fans what they need for me to be."
Hey Lady Gaga! Wow! We have so much in common! I can't believe it! Every morning I have to tell myself I'm a superstar so I can get through this day and be for my fans what they need for me to be!
Yes! My blog fans! Where are my peeps! Give a holla!
Every morning I get up and shower, get dressed, have my coffee and then tell myself that I'm a superstar (blogger). And to think that Lady Gaga is doing the same! Makes me feel even more like a superstar (blogger). I'm sure it probably takes Lady Gaga longer to get dressed than this dyke...I mean..and I don't have a team of stylists and dressers either. And a personal assistant to keep track of what she wears.

Sunday Stealing
Welcome back to Sunday Stealing which originated on WTIT: The Blog authored by Bud Weiser. Here we will steal all types of memes from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent memes. You may have heard of the expression, “honor amongst thieves”. In that age-old tradition, we also have our rules. First, we always credit the blog that we stole it from and we will “fess up” to the blog owner where we stole the meme. We also provide a link to the victim's post. (It's our way of saying "Thanks!") We do sometimes edit the original meme, usually to make it more relevant to our global players, to challenge our players, sometimes to select that meme's best questions, or simply to make it less repetitive from either this new meme or recently asked questions from a prior featured meme. Let's go!!!
Today we ripped off a blogger named Doug Spencer from the blog Songs of Innocence and of Experience. Doug does not credit where he got it. But, it was probably stolen there as well. So, of course, that will be as far as we go. Tracing back our theft's thieves might take some time. Link back to us at Sunday Stealing!
Cheers to all of us thieves!

Ssssweeeet!
I discovered I made $10.07 this month from Adgitize.com. Well...not exactly "made" this month...but I got paid this month! That means my blog has made a whopping $20.60 cash money! Ok, that's not a lot of money, but I'm I'm writing anyway, right? Might as well get some ca-ching!

Let's go!!!
Today we ripped off a blogger named Leo from the blog Leonine's Journal. He was tackling a meme that his blogging site, Live Journal, hosts. It has 5,000 questions. He did a hundred. So, we will break it up into parts. Link back to us at Sunday Stealing!
Cheers to all of us thieves!
76. Do you prefer Disney or Warner Brothers? Definitely Warner Brothers. Love the characters!
77. What is the first animal you would run to see if you went to the zoo? I always like to see the penguins and watch them. Especially since I heard that there are homosexual penguins. I mean, don't you just wanna watch them just to see if you can figure out if there are any gay penguins at the zoo? You know, which ones are couples
78. Would you consider yourself to be romantic? Most definitely!
79. If the earth stopped rotating would we all fly off? Well...since the rotation probably helps us keep gravity...I would tend to agree, that we would all fly off.
80. What is the one thing that you love to do so much that you would make sacrifices to be able to do it? Can I plead the 5th on this one?
81. If you (and everyone) had to lose one right or freedom, but you could pick which one everyone had to lose, what would you pick? I am going to claim exemption from this question, because as a lesbian, I have already lost considerable freedom just by virtue of that fact.
82. If you had to choose would you live on the equator or at the North Pole? I like it cool, I'd go for the North Pole. I hate the heat, so no way on the equator.
83. Would you rather give up listening to music or watching television? I think I've already given up watching television. I don't have cable or satellite. I have one of those !@#$% HD converter boxes. Sometimes I'm lucky if I can get a signal for 2 channels.
84. What do you think makes someone a hero? Someone who thinks quickly, and makes the correction decision.
85. What cartoon would you like to be a character in? In the old looney tunes Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote. I want to be a character in it because I really feel I can help Wile E. either overcome he obsession with Road Runner, or finally give him some really good, fool proof ideas to finally get Wile E. And of course if he tried the same scheme, I'd tell him how it ended, so he could improve on it. Cuz it's like every week Wile E. would not remember the lessons learned. And I'd be there for him!
86. Name one thing that turns your stomach: Lots of things.
87. What was the last thing you paid for? Groceries.
88. Are you a coupon clipper? Yup. I saved $10.30 today. Actually that's awesome, because I mostly bought meat.
89. Get anything good in the mail recently? Does the 2 pair of Khaki's from Old Navy that are a size small than my last purchase(...and they fit) count?
90. Which would you rather take as a gym class...dancing, sailing, karate, or bowling? I think sailing would be awesome. (That is so long as the waters were calm. I've been on a small boat when the waves were choppy and I just can't stomach it. It would have been awesome if it was calm.)
91. In Star Trek people 'beam' back and forth between different places. What this means is they stand in a little tube and their molecules are deconstructed and sent to another tube somewhere else where they are reassembled. Only problem is when the molecules are deconstructed the person is dead. When they are put back together it is only a clone that has all the dead person's memories. Is the person who gets beamed the same person on both ends? Dumb question...next!
92. What insects are you afraid of? Bees, wasps. I'm not fond of mosquitos either, after camping last year and getting huge welts wherever I had mosquito bites.
93. If you could print any phrase on a T-shirt, what would it say? Support gay marriage!
94. What's the most eccentric thing you have ever worn? I don't think I own anything eccentric.
95. If you could pick one food that you could eat all you wanted but it would have no effect on how much you weigh, what food would it be? Seefood. And that would encompass everything, cuz when I seefood I eat it.
96. What are your parents interested in? My parents passed away when I was in my twenties.
97. Have you ever caught an insect and kept it as a pet? When I a kid I caught fireflies. Actually, I've done it was an adult too...teaching my kids how to catch them.
Have you ever caught and tamed a wild animal? Yeah right!
98. What is more helpful to you, wishes or plans? Plans. I don't have to a strict itinerary, but an outline of a plan is my preferred way of doing things.
99. When do you feel your life energy the strongest? Bah!
100. You are spending the night alone in the woods and may bring only 3 items with you. A certain someone, shelter, and food.

Restaurant Review - Zuki Japanese Steakhouse
Saturday we visited Zuki Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi in Mokena, IL to celebrate my daughter's 18th birthday with friends. This is a chain with several locations in Indiana, South Carolina, and Ohio.
It's a restaurant similar to Benihana, in that they have chefs table side that cook your food on an iron plate and artfully slice, dice and flip your food, even flipping food into diner's mouths.
I had visited Zuki last weekend, and ordered sushi, but did not sit at the chef tables. The sushi was excellent, fresh and well prepared.
Our visit on Saturday was highly disappointing. The chef tables were crowded and diners were quite loud with the cheering and laughing at their chef's showmanship. It definitely seemed like a fun a place to go with a group of people and enjoy the show. However, our chef was not a particularly good showman, and between the waitress and the chef, our dining experience was sub par. Our chef blamed the waitress on messing up our orders. Another diner and I had ordered steamed rice, rather than fried rice to go with our meal, but the chef put fried rice on our plates. When he saw he did not have enough to go around, he questioned us as to who had fried rice. When the other diner and I said we ordered steamed rice, he unceremoniously took our plates, scooped off the fried rice, mixed it with what was left on the iron plate and served it to other people in our group, completely forgetting about our steamed rice. We had to remind the chef about our steamed rice and we weren't served it until after our entrees were plated and 1/2 eaten. My kids ordered 2 types of sushi rolls each and Red Bean Miso Soup. They were served their soup, but after the chef had completed cooking our orders on the iron plate, their sushi was nowhere to be found. They sat there with empty plates, while the rest of our party was finishing their food.
As we dined, we heard other tables celebrating birthdays with the staff singing happy birthday. This unnerved me and I went to the hostess stand to complain and mentioned several times that it was my daughter's 18th birthday celebration and this was no way to celebrate with her and her brother not being served their food, while the rest of us ate our meals. The hostess apologized and swiftly walked to the kitchen to get their sushi orders going. She came back quite awhile later with their sushi orders (my daughter's was wrong, but she didn't mention it until we left the restaurant...she was seated at the other end of the table and was unable to let me know because of the distance and noise.) The hostess said she would be sending over another sushi roll, complimentary to make up for the error. Awhile later the complimentary sushi roll was delivered. It was a very spicy tuna roll. It was so spicy, my son was sweating bullets after eating his 1/2 of the portion. Why would you serve kids such a spicy dish? And moreover, why would you choose a spicy sushi roll as the complimentary sushi roll in the first place?
Shortly after the complementary dish was served, the check was delivered. No birthday song...nothing. I don't know if the hostess thought I was scamming her about the birthday celebration, or what, but my daughter did have several gift bags of presents, so I don't know how they could have missed that it really was her birthday celebration.
To add insult to injury, my credit card was charged twice for our portion of the check. I let my friend who paid the other portion know so she could check with her bank to find out if hers was also charged twice. I haven't yet heard from her if that was the case.
I really wanted to like this place. The food was very good, but the service we was received was very disappointing.
I don't think I can honestly recommend this restaurant based on our experience Saturday night. I highly doubt that we will return. I did not feel that the complimentary sushi roll was adequate to compensate us for the poor service and lack of professionalism of the chef and wait staff. Our party of eight was very disappointed that my daughter's birthday celebration was ruined.

Happy Birthday to my daughter
My daughter turns 18 today. I can hardly believe this much time has passed since she was born. It seems like just yesterday she was running around in diapers.
Happy Birthday! Hope you have a great day!
