Who? Lola? Umm no. Eddie Haskell. (My son's friend who I cannot stand.) The kid got banned several months ago for dropping gay bombs in my living room while playing video games. And yes, I called him out on it.
What happened this time to provoke the current (and if I'm smart...lifetime ban)? My son, Eddie Haskell and a kid from down the block went to the movies. I dropped them off and they walked home. Guess whose idea that was? Uh-huh. Eddie Haskell's. Then they start playing video games in my living room (while I surf the net on my laptop, in full view of them...cuz what else would I be doing?) They are all seated on the floor in front of the big screen tv.
Eddie Haskell starts dropping gay bombs. Next thing I know my son is calling Eddie Haskell a cheater and a fight literally breaks out at my feet! I'm hollerin' for them to break it up and fists are flyin'! Finally it stops and my son stomps to his room, where upon I say "time to go home, call your ride". To which Eddie Haskell replies that he didn't do anything and the other kid slinks out the door without a word.
Eddie Haskell is always doing something to provoke a fight, or literally starts pounding on my son for no reason. (My son is way bigger than him and is not normally into fighting, he's usually breaking up fights. Perhaps the cheating on top of the gay bombs drove him over the edge? I'm not really sure who even threw the first punch.)
After Eddie Haskell finally got picked up we drove over to the other kid's house. I introduced myself to the parents and told them I wanted to stop by and make sure their son knew that he did nothing wrong and that he is welcome at our house any time. They are completely familiar with Eddie Haskell, in fact he is banned from their house, and from a friend's house. So we were on the same page. They also said my son is welcome any time at their house.

Dammit...Lin beat me to it!
Once an Eddie...always an Eddie.
Send him over to Mettalica's house next time.
What's he making Gay slurs for? It's not like you started it by making stupid slurs....
Sorry for you. Glad my teen kids in the house days are done.
Sounds like a good move on your part. Have you talked to banned kids parents? I'm wondering if they know what he's like out in public?

Good for you being involved enough to make sure the right person is punished for bad behavior. Unfortunately, I doubt that Eddie's parents are interested in making sure their son becomes "socially acceptable" which is why he is the way he is. In fact, I suspect he learned his attitude toward gays from the parental units.
You know what? Sometimes I just hate teenagers! My son had a friend like that and he is no longer welcome here, either. Good for you for standing your ground!
Wow! What a little brat. I would ban him from my house too. I've only ever banned one kid from coming over to hang out with my daughter. She was a smoker. :( My daughter has no interest in smoking, but all it takes is one weak moment and a bully who loves peer pressure.
I think that was thoughtful of you to visit the other kids house to let him and the parents know that he is still welcome at your house.
I just don't want to comment about the Eddie kid anymore. :S
Maybe I should be glad that my son has no friends.
Nobody wants to play with the bipolar/Asperger kid, cuz his social skills leave a lot to be desired.
And teenagers can be so mean - him included.
I'd ban Mr. Haskell permanently, he sounds like he's bad news all around.
unfortunately some kids can be so blind to the effect of their words.
I've banned a couple of kids for idiocy. The ban is usually tempered with the expectation that it can be lifted with a simple heartfelt verbal apology. It amazes me how few kids are willing to apologize for their idiot behavior.
